Karina Conolly

Podiatrist, BHSc (Pod)

Karina is a skilled and dedicated podiatrist with experience working across Australia, and even briefly in Ireland. She works with patients of all ages to help them optimise their performance during sports and work, recover from pain or injury, and help prevent future injury.

Karina appreciates the importance of keeping up-to-date with the latest research and treatment modalities. This has seen her both excel as part of an interdisciplinary team, as well as undertake further study for her endorsement in scheduled medicines, allowing her to prescribe certain medications and save her patients an additional trip to their GP for the prescription.

As a keen sportswoman herself, Karina can relate to and understand the mindset of our athlete patients impeccably. Over the years, she has enjoyed playing netball, soccer, oz-tag, touch football, league tag and snow skiing. She currently plays netball in the Dooley’s State League Competition in Sydney, ladies league tag and skis during the winter snow season.

Megan Veenstra

Podiatrist, BHSc (Pod)

Hello. I’m Megan and I’ve recently joined the Cartright podiatry team after moving to the Wollondilly Shire after spending many years living and working in Sydney, Illawarra and abroad in the United Kingdom.

I graduated from Western Sydney University in 2007 with a Bachelor degree in Podiatry and have worked in private practice since then.

Splitting my time working in multiple private clinics has allowed me to hone my skills across a vast array of treatments and techniques that may not be readily available at all locations. I have a keen interest in wound care and dermatology with high exposure to treating plantar warts from my years working in London.

I am passionate about diabetic foot care- both treating and educating my patients about the effects this can have on the feet and how to avoid complications that can arise from this disease.

I have spent time in my studies working in the high-risk foot clinic in Liverpool hospital so know how devastating and limiting some of these wounds can become. Since becoming a mother 2 years ago, this insight has given me the knowledge base to assess and treat children better. It has certainly allowed a better understanding of how parents to these little patients can feel in gaining treatment and offering reassurances about their children’s health.

I have a comprehensive grasp of all aspects of podiatry including sports, paediatric, geriatric, biomechanical, dermatology, diabetes and nail surgery. I am also well versed in the management of patients on NDIS, Workcover and Dept Veterans Affairs.
