Sports Pain, Injury and Performance

Whether you’re a professional athlete or your child has joined their first junior team, we’re proud to offer comprehensive solutions to help alleviate pain, repair injuries, and improve performance out on the field, court or wherever you play.

We also use video gait analysis to uncover the way you move and how this impacts on your sports performance – and your injury risk throughout sport. Often, this analysis reveals the cause of any pain or discomfort that you may be experiencing. We love working with professional and up-and-coming athletes and implement performance techniques to help them get to (and stay at) the top of their game.

Wart Removal Surgery

Aside from the non-invasive options that we have for plantar warts, we’re also the only team in the area to offer a minor surgical procedure called curettage to remove plantar warts under local anaesthetic.

Curettage involves using a very small ice-cream scoop-like surgical tool to scoop and excise the wart from the skin. A chemical (phenol) is then applied to the excision site to act on any remaining small wart tissue that has been left behind. The area is then dressed with a sterile dressing and monitored until it has fully healed.

Skin & Nail Care

Systoe is a simple and effective tool used to assess blood flow and pressure to the feet and toes, and monitor any changes over time. It is reliable and accurate, automatically showing results in under 3 minutes.

Systoe allows both us and you to understand the circulatory status of your feet and the risks you may face if it is impaired. It remains functional even in the presence of diabetes, neuropathy and other arterial issues, where other traditional measurement systems may fail to produce reliable results.

Diabetic Foot Assessments

Diabetes can significantly affect your sensation and circulation, affecting your ability to both feel and to heal wounds at the feet and legs, leaving you more vulnerable to infection. These effects progressively worsen over time, which is why it is recommended to complete a diabetic foot health assessment every year.
Your assessment will measure the status of your sensation and circulation with a number of tests. Using these results, we’ll discuss your current foot health status, your risks, and how to best protect and care for your feet to minimise your risks.

Medical Grade Footwear

We fit and sell medical-grade footwear to meet the demands of even the most complex foot. Often we’ll pair a medical-grade shoe with a custom orthotic to help you feel comfortable and stable on your feet.
The first step is to have a consultation with your podiatrist to assess exactly what will benefit your feet and movement the most. We’ll evaluate the biomechanical characteristics of your feet as well as your muscle strength and gait pattern. We’ll then discuss the most suitable options for your work and daily life. If what you need is not available at our clinic, we’ll order it in for you and our podiatry team will properly fit your shoes.
